MY STORY

I have been a career entrepreneur for more than 25 years. Along the way, I have produced well over one thousand events and have built a substantial real estate portfolio. From 2010 through 2020, my wife and I owned and operating two large-scale concert venues. Five years ago, I began hosting personal development retreats in Silicon Valley and enjoyed it so much, I expanded to hosting in Hawaii, Italy, and Mexico, while acting as a concert promoter simultaneously.

When the Pandemic struck, it shut down several of my concert venues in California. I saw this as an invitation to re-invent myself and go all in on my favorite activity: running blissful retreats. My wife and I began hunting for unique properties that could serve as both our residences and as fantastic retreat compounds for small groups. This website tells the story of our results.

UNDERSTANDING THE OPPORTUNITY

The first thing I need to be clear about is why I did this. First, I love luxury properties (especially ones with beautiful views of the ocean). After grinding it out as an entrepreneur for more than 25 years, waterfront properties provide a truly blissful reward to my wife and me. They give us the chance to slow down, be more present, and follow our bliss. Second, I love producing inspirational retreats that transform lives in positive ways. These properties were carefully chosen with this in mind. Third, I enjoy investing in people that want to give their greatest gift to the world - and retreats are a wonderful way to do this.

These being my internal drivers, I did not create this special scenario in a quest to make more money. I have been blessed with a successful career as an entrepreneur. While I will run my properties as profitable operations that charge appropriately, money is not my driving force with any of these properties. I am not looking to book my properties every week of the year. This means that I will not take bookings simply because our calendar is free and someone has the money to pay.  Rather, I am going to continue running my own retreats and hand-pick special retreat operators that I will enjoy opening my homes to and helping them host spectacular retreats. I plan to be very selective, spreading the retreats out so my incredible staff and I will avoid burn out. This way we can continue to do what we love and always give each retreat 110%.

HOW WILL WE PARTNER

If I select you to host a retreat at one of my Bliss Retreat properties, my staff and I will provide on-site logistical support so you can focus on delivering the content and the desired experience for your guests. My staff and I will organize your round-trip airport runs, take your guests and staff on excursions, manage third-party operators for activities, serve all the meals and beverages, do all the dishes, handle all cleaning, and manage accommodations. I will even personally assist you on creating the perfect itinerary for your retreat. With over one thousand events and dozens of retreats under my belt, I will add value in areas like timing, picking the perfect place on my properties to do activities, and knowledge of the surrounding areas for excursions. My staff and I are offering to be your highly experienced Operations Team, at no additional cost. This will allow you to focus on delivering your gifts and being pampered yourself. References are available upon request; I expect you to learn that our retreat host partners greatly appreciate how we show up and how we help them shine!

PRICING

If you are charging customers to attend your retreats, you alone will determine your gross price per guest. You are welcome to add any profit margin you want to our below published prices based on what you think you can get for your retreat offering versus the number of customers attending versus your bed capacity. All properties require a five-night, six-day minimum. Early arrivals for hosts and staff can be accommodated for 1/4th of our per-day rates for a maximum of two days. This will allow you to get settled, acclimate if traveling from far away, and get to know the property before your retreat starts. Customers or other guests must arrive on the day your retreat begins or pay full price for early arrivals. 

 

PROPERTY RENTAL PRICES PER DAY

Bliss Island in Hawaii = $35,000 for a 5-night, 6-day all-inclusive retreat experience (Sleeps up to 16)

Waterfalling Estate in Hawaii = $40,000 for a 5-night, 6-day all-inclusive retreat experience (Sleeps up to 16)

*Sleep counts should be divided by two if you have no couples.

 

DEPOSITS

We collect a 50% deposit of the above rates at the time of booking. This payment is non-refundable but is transferable in the event that you need to change your dates. This includes changing properties (helping to COVID-proof your retreat), plus any difference in rental pricing. Your balance is due 30 days prior to your retreat start date. If this fee schedule does not work with your company’s cash flow, we are happy to discuss an alternative win-win. Requested add-ons will be billed separately once confirmed.
